Abstract

Synthesis and Characterization of 2-(8-Quinolinol-5-yl) - amino methyl-3-(4- Methyl Phenyl)-5- (4-chloro Phenyl)-Pyrazoline and its Metal Complexes with Co(II), Ni(II) and Mn(II) Ions and Study of their Antimicrobial Activities

Complexes of 2-(8-Quinolinol-5-yl) - amino methyl-3-(4- Methyl Phenyl)-5- (4-chloro Phenyl)- Pyrazoline with Co(II), Ni(II) and Mn(II) have been synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis, IR spectra, PMR spectra and antimicrobial activity. These studies revealed that they are having octahedral geometry of the type [ML2 (H2O)2].The compounds show net enhancement in activity on coordination of metals with ligand but moderate activity as compared to standard drugs.
