Synthesis and antimicrobial activity of some new imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives

ABSTRACT
Some new 1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazoles and 1,2,4-triazoles derived from 7-methyl-2-(p-methylphenyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3-ethylcarboxylate (3), The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and mass spectra. All the synthesized compounds were tested for their antibacterial activities against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria.
