Abstract
A facile stereoselective total synthesis of (S)-N-(5-chlorothiophene-2-sulfonyl)-b,b-diethylalaninol
Author(s): B. Narasimha Reddya and R. P. SingA novel and highly efficient synthesis of (S)-N-(5-chlorothiophene-2-sulfonyl)-b,b-diethylalaninol, a Notch-1- sparing-g -secretase inhibitor employing sharpless asymmetric epoxidation of allyl alcohol has been accomplished. The synthesis also demonstrates the effective use of regioselective reductive opening of epoxy alcohols.
