Abstract
A green Synthesis of 2-Substituted Quinazolin-4(3H)-ones
Author(s): Madhusudan P, Srishyalam V and Devanna NVarious 2-Substituted Quinazolin-4(3H)-one's derivatives in good to excellent yield have been prepared in one–pot reaction by condensation of Isatoic anhydride, an aldehyde, and ammonium acetate using NaOCl as an oxidant in ethanol at 80-85°C, this strategy is simple and catalyst-free. The reaction is green and economically viable.
