Abstract
Chemical constituents of Alocasia portei Schott

Medecilo and Chien-Chang ShenChemical investigation of the dichloromethane extract of Alocasia portei afforded phytyl fatty acid esters (1), polyprenols (2), lutein (3), a mixture of stigmasterol (4) and β-sitosterol (5), chlorophyll a (6), chlorophyllide a (7), a mixture of linolenic acid (8) and saturated fatty acids (9), and hydrocarbons (10). The structures of 1-10 were identified by comparison of their NMR data with those reported in the literature.
