Chemical constituents of Ficus nota

Alimboyoguen, Chien-Chang ShenChemical investigation of the dichloromethane extract of the unripe fruits of Ficus nota afforded 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)- 2-methoxyphenol (1), a mixture of meso-2,3-butanediol (2a), (2R,3R)-2,3-butanediol (2b) and (2S,3S)-2,3- butanediol (2c) and β-sitosterol (3). The structure of 1 was elucidated by extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy.
