Abstract

Effective visible light photocatalytic degradation of Brilliant green using H2O2 sensitized BiVO4

Photocatalytic degradation of Brilliant green is studied over monoclinic BiVO4 in presence of H2O2 under visible light irradiation. Experimental results indicate a synergetic effect between BiVO4 and H2O2 in generating more Ã?Â?OH free radicals which are responsible for the degradation of dye molecular structure. Complete degradation was achieved for 90min of irradiation.
