Visible light irradiated photocatalytic degradation of Bromocresol green, Rosaniline and Eosin blue has been studied using Cu2O as photocatalyst. Addition of H2O2 led to synergetic effect between Cu2O and H2O2 and enhanced the rate of degradation. Complete degradation of Bromocresol green, Rosaniline and Eosin blue occurred for 180, 180 and 120 min of irradiation respectively. Formation of OH free radicals during irradiation is ascertained by photoluminescence studies using terphthalic acid as probe molecule.
