Recent Advances in the Construction of Indole Scaffolds
Author(s): Fateh V Singh* and Saeesh R MangaonkarIndole scaffolds are important chemical entity found in biologically important synthetic and naturally active compounds. Various synthetic approaches are available for the construction of functionalized indoles including several classical and non-classical approaches. In classical approaches, numerous metal catalysts such as palladium, copper, rhodium, ruthenium and iron have been used successfully in recent few years. In this review, various aspects of classical and non-classical approaches used to construct functionalized indoles are discussed.
