Abstract
Solvent-free synthesis, characterization and antimicrobial activity of complexes of 2-hydroxybenzoic acid hydrazide with some M(II) chlorides (M= Co and Ni)

SalawuThis work describes the synthesis and in vitro studies on complexes of 2-Hydroxybenzoic hydrazide (HBH with Nickel(II)Chloride and Cobalt(II)Chloride. The 2-Hydroxybenzoic hydrazide (HBH) ligand was prepared by a solvent-free method. The chelates were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance and spectral studies. The antimicrobial activities of the ligand and their metal chelates have also been screened.
