Abstract

Synthesis, Antibacterial and Antioxidant Activity of Novel Bis-1,3,4-oxadiazoles Carrying Pyrazole Moiety

A series of new 5,5’-(1-(aryl)-1H-pyrazole-3,4-diyl)bis-(2-aryl-1,3,4-oxadiazole) derivatives were synthesized by the condensation of 1-(aryl)-1H-pyrazol-3,4-dicarbohydrazide with substituted aromatic acids. All the newly synthesized compounds were screened for their in vitro antibacterial and antioxidant activity. Among the tested compounds, bis-1,3,4-oxadiazole 3p exhibited excellent antioxidant activity. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H-NMR), InfraRed (IR), Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and elemental analysis.
