Abstract
Synthesis, characterization and antimicrobial activity of some novel hydrazone derivatives of anacardic acid

BalramHydrazone derivatives are found to possess anti-inflammatory, anti-tubercular, anti-convulsant anti-microbial, antimycobacterial, analgesic and anti-platelet activities. The present paper describes the synthesis, characterization and antimicrobial evaluation of some novel hydrazone derivatives 6a-j of anacardic acid. The structural assignment of the newly synthesized hydrazone derivatives were confirmed by spectroscopic techniques like, 1 H NMR, MS and IR data.
