A highly efficient synthesis of N-substituted indolo[3',2':4,5]thieno[2,3-b]quinoxaline derivativ es via double C−S cross-coupling reaction. The odorless and stable so lid Na 2 S was used as a suitable and environmentally friend ly source of sulfur. The double C−S bonds have not pre viously have been achieved, which renders our obser vation more striking.
