Abstract
Synthesis and Anti-microbial Evaluation of Some Novel Bridged Benzofuran and 1,2,3-Triazole Based Analogues
Author(s): Nagamani Modhumpuram, Jalapathi Pochampalli*, Kishore Kumar Angajala, Shanker Bhookya and Jayasree DA new series of substituted 1-(2-((1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)methoxy)-5-((2-benzoyl-3-methylbenzofuran-5-yl)methyl)phenyl)ethanonederivatives were synthesized by copper(I) catalyzed azide-alkyne cyclo-addition (CuAAC) reaction. All the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectroscopy. The representative analogues were screened in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activity. The newly synthesized compounds were showed significant antibacterial activity and moderate antifungal activity compared to standard drugs ciprofloxacin and nystatin respectively.
