A large number of bioactive heterocycles have been synthesized and reported to exhibit a wide range of biological properties including anticancer, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antitubercular activities. In recent years there have been some interesting developments in the biological activities of benzothiazole derivatives. These compounds have special significance in the field of medicinal chemistry due to their remarkable pharmacological potentialities. The heterocycles bearing benzothiazole nucleus were synthesized using One-pot synthetic approach, which involved One-pot condensation of 2-aminothiophenol with different aromatic aldehydes, alcohols and carboxylic acids.
