Visible Light Photoredox-Catalyzed Synthesis of Quinazolinone Derivatives and their cytotoxicity

Visible light promoted efficient and eco-friendly photocatalytic method for the synthesis of quinazolinones. This protocol involves commencing readily available substituted isatins and 2-aminobenzamide by using Rose Bengal as an efficient recyclable photocatalyst. This method is operationally simpler and selective, carried out in shorter reaction time with visible light in higher yields.
