Design, Synthesis and Molecular Modeling of New 1,3,5-Triazine Derivatives as Anticancer Agents

A new series of 1,3,5-triazine analogues were designed, synthesized and in vitro screened by the US National Cancer Institute (NCI) for their ability to inhibit 60 different human tumor cell lines. Compound 6 the most active member in this study, showing effectiveness toward numerous cell lines belonging to different tumor cell lines that reach to 60.13% inhibition in renal cancer (CAKI-1) cell line, also it has good inhibitory activity against PI3Kγ (IC50=6.90 μM) closer activity to reference wortmannin (IC50=3.19 μM).
